I did back and biceps yesterday for the third time and the last time until I start Phase 3 of the P90X program. Today my biceps are feeling it big time. They are really sore and I think that the exercises that did me in were the static arms curls and the twenty ones. Those both really kill me especially the twenty ones early on in the routine. My biceps were on fire after those and once I got to the static arm curls I was really struggling which is good. By the time I was done with this routine I knew my biceps had been push to the max.
My back isn’t all that sore but I know my lats were pushed hard, I was really struggling on the last few pull ups I was doing but I made sure to keep good form and not get to jerky on the pull up bar, if you do that you aren’t doing yourself much good.
This is definitely one of my favorite workouts in the P90X program. I have always placed a lot of importance on my arms and I really pushed my triceps and biceps before I started the P90X, but I always seemed to struggle to really work my biceps hard and get them sore the next day. Yea I got them sore every now and then but so far I am three for three with this Back and Biceps routine. Every time I do it the next day my biceps are feeling it and that tells me I am really working them in a different and more challenging way. I love that. We all love getting results when we workout and this routine is definitely doing that for me.
