Nowadays, it’s hard to turn on the TV and not see celebrities looking perfect as always, a lot of times we assume it’s the work of a great plastic surgeon (and sometimes this is true,) but other times it isn’t–the culprit lies as result of strict dieting and exercise regimens. Celebrities are finding great ways to squeeze in healthy lifestyle’s into their hectic life’s, but do you ever wonder what exactly they’re doing too look so good?
Carrie Underwood, for example, has 3 basic rules she lives by and that helped her lose 20 pounds. First, she writes down every bite she eats on any given day, a food diary, this way she can track her caloric, fat and carbohydrate intake. This helps her make more healthy choices. Second, she called in the help of a personal trainer. With the help of her trainer, Carrie built a mini-gym in her home and came up with a perfect program, tailored specifically to her unique health characteristics. Lastly, Ms. Underwood doesn’t let the scale stress her out. She looks good and feels great and that’s all that matters to her.
Madonna on the other hand, who no matter how old she gets, continues to look great, stays in shape by regularly practicing Ashatange Yoga, (a very challenging form,) while also riding a bike to the gym, in turn providing a great cardio workout before she even started. What else? Madonna keeps far, far away from the junk food altogether. She instead chooses to go with more natural foods such as whole grains and veggies.
Usher, a popular R&B singer, is known for his washboard abs. He built those with a daily routine of jumping jacks, stretching, skipping and 1,000 crunches he calls this the 40 minutes of funk. He also makes it a point to eat right, sticking with fruits, veggies, chicken and not too many carbs.
Matthew McConaughey’s routine is a little but different, as he chooses to go with various calisthenic workouts. He’s seen doing push-ups, running, swimming, or even cycling with his good friend Lance Armstrong. These routines earned him top votes for Sexiest Man Alive in 2005, according to People magazine, but when he really wants to get ripped or bulk up for certain movie roles he resorts toSupersets. Supersets are a great way to bulk up fast (explained more in our explosive arms workout routine).
There you have it fellow hackers, that is how some of Hollywood’s hottest celebrities stay in shape! Who knows, maybe one of their routines would be perfect for you!
